[GUIDE] How to go to the DSWD Central Office in Quezon City, Philippines

The Department of Social Welfare and Development or DSWD is the lead agency tasked of overseeing the condition and welfare of the Filipino people -- from childhood to adulthood.

The DSWD has various programs and initiatives aimed at ensuring that the needs of children, differently abled PWDs, senior citizens, the urban poor, women, and those struck by calamities (manmade or natural), among other vulnerable sectors, are met.

Located along the stretch of Batasan Road off Commonwealth Avenue in Quezon City, the DSWD Central Office is located right next to the Civil Service Commission and right across the Batasang Pambansa Complex.

From any point in Metro Manila, the easiest (but not exactly the cheapest) way to go to the DSWD Central Office is by booking a Grab ride or hailing a taxi cab.

Alternatively, you can try the following:

From the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX):

• Past the Bocaue Interchange, wait until you reach North EDSA. Get off at SM North.
• Proceed to the SM North transportation terminal and ride a jeepney or FX bound for SM Fairview.
• Get off at Sandiganbayan.
• From here, you have two options: First, proceed to the tricyle terminal at IBP Road corner Commonwealth Avenue and take a tricyle bound for Batasan.
• Get off at DSWD.

or

• From Sandiganbayan, you may also walk to IBP Road and ride a jeepney bound for San Mateo. 
• Get off at the South Gate of Batasan. 
• From here, DSWD is a three-minute walk.

From the Quezon Memorial Circle:

• Proceed to Jollibee Philcoa and take a bus bound for SM Fairview.
• Get off at Sandiganbayan.
• From here, you have two options: First, proceed to the tricyle terminal at IBP Road corner Commonwealth Avenue and take a tricyle bound for Batasan.
• Get off at DSWD.

or

• From Sandiganbayan, you may also walk to IBP Road and ride a jeepney bound for San Mateo.
• Get off at the South Gate of Batasan. 
• From here, DSWD is a three-minute walk.

From EDSA:

• Go to the north-bound lane of EDSA and proceed to any loading/unloading shed.
• Take a city bus bound for SM Fairview.
• Get off at Sandiganbayan.
• From here, you have two options: First, proceed to the tricyle terminal at IBP Road corner Commonwealth Avenue and take a tricyle bound for Batasan. Get off at DSWD.

or

• From Sandiganbayan, you may also walk to IBP Road and ride a jeepney bound for San Mateo. 
• Get off at the South Gate of Batasan.
• From here, DSWD is a three-minute walk.

From Fairview:

• Take a bus or jeepney or FX or UV Express bound for Quiapo or Quezon City Hall.
• Get off at Sandiganbayan and cross Commonwealth via the elevated pedestrian bridge.
• From here, you have two options: First, proceed to the tricyle terminal at IBP Road corner Commonwealth Avenue and take a tricyle bound for Batasan.
• Get off at DSWD.

or

• From Sandiganbayan, you may also walk to IBP Road and ride a jeepney bound for San Mateo.
• Get off at the South Gate of Batasan.
• From here, DSWD is a three-minute walk.

From Makati:

• Take a city bus bound for SM Fairview.
• Get off at Sandiganbayan.
• From here, you have two options: First, proceed to the tricyle terminal at IBP Road corner Commonwealth Avenue and take a tricyle bound for Batasan.
• Get off at DSWD.

• From Sandiganbayan, you may also walk to IBP Road and ride a jeepney bound for San Mateo.
• Get off at the South Gate of Batasan.
• From here, DSWD is a three-minute walk.

• Take the north-bound MRT. Get off at either Quezon Avenue Station or North Avenue Station.
• If you decide to get off at the Quezon Avenue Station, proceed to the Eton Centris transportation terminal.
• Take a UV Express or jeepney bound for SM Fairview.
• Get off at Sandiganbayan.
• From here, you have two options: First, proceed to the tricyle terminal at IBP Road corner Commonwealth Avenue and take a tricyle bound for Batasan. Get off at DSWD.

• If you take the MRT and decide to get off at North Avenue Station, walk inside TriNoMa and exit to SM North. Proceed to the SM North transportation terminal.
• Take a jeepney or FX bound for SM Fairview.
• Get off at Sandiganbayan.
• From here, you have two options: First, proceed to the tricyle terminal at IBP Road corner Commonwealth Avenue and take a tricyle bound for Batasan.

• Proceed to Starmall Alabang and take a bus bound for SM Fairview.
• Get off at Sandiganbayan and cross Commonwealth via the elevated pedestrian bridge.
• From here, you have two options: First, proceed to the tricyle terminal at IBP Road corner Commonwealth Avenue and take a tricyle bound for Batasan.
• Get off at DSWD.

• From Starmall Alabang, take a bus bound for SM Fairview and get off at MRT Ayala Avenue.
