'BAR EXAMS 2020-2021 TO PROCEED AS SCHEDULED' – JUSTICE MARVIC LEONEN

MANILA – Supreme Court Associate Justice Marvic Leonen dispelled rumors on social media that the Bar Exams 2020-2021, scheduled to take place in November 2021, have been cancelled.

In a tweet, Justice Leonen, who also happens to be the Bar Chair, said "Bar Exams will be as scheduled November 2021 as per Bar Bulletins. Any information to the contrary is a callous lie. It is heartless and will only have the effect of creating needless anxiety."

He added that "[k]arma exists for those who do evil" before capping off his tweet with #BestBarEver2020_21.

The Bar Exams was postponed in 2020 due to the restrictions in mobility caused by efforts to control the spread of COVID-19 in the Philippines.

Two batches of law graduates are expected to take part in the November 2021 Bar Exams, which by itself is remarkable because for the first time, the Exams will be held simultaneously in multiple venues across the country.
