[GUIDE] How to go to Manila City Hall by public and private transportation

Hundreds or probably even thousands of people go to the Manila City Hall daily to process documents and avail of different services provided by the Manila City government.

Thankfully, the Manila City Hall is located in the heart of the City of Manila. This means reaching this place, with its distinctive and iconic clock tower, should not be difficult, especially with the easy availability of public transportation options.

Here are a number of ways to go to Manila City Hall:

FROM COMMONWEALTH AND FAIRVIEW, QUEZON CITY:

Ride a jeepney, UV Express, or bus bound for Quiapo Lawton. Tell the driver or conductor to get you off at Lawton. From Lawton, Manila City Hall is 10 minutes by walking.

Start at the Metropolitan Theater, then proceed to the Lawton bus terminal. Head straight to Universidad de Manila until you reach SM City Manila. The Manila City Hall is just right next to SM City Manila.

FROM QUIAPO:

From Quiapo Church, there are jeepneys that go to Kalaw. Ride on one and tell the driver to get you off at Manila City Hall. You need to cross the City Hall underpass in order to get to the other side of the road where the Manila City Hall is located.

FROM LRT 1 YELLOW LINE

An easy way to go to Manila City Hall is by riding the MRT or LRT rail lines. This saves you plenty of time as you don't need to endure the horrific Manila traffic.

If you are taking the LRT 1 Yellow Line, you can get off at Central Station. From here, you can walk starting from Universidad de Manila straight to SM Manila. The Manila City Hall is just right next to SM City Manila.

FROM LRT 2 PURPLE LINE

If you are taking the LRT 2 Purple Line, get off at Recto Station and switch to LRT 1 Yellow Line at the Doroteo Jose Station. From here, take the train going to Baclaran and get off at Central Station. After getting off, walk starting from Universidad de Manila straight to SM Manila. The Manila City Hall is just right next to SM City Manila.

FROM MRT

If you are taking the MRT, get off at EDSA Taft Station and switch to LRT 1 Yellow Line at EDSA Taft Station. At the LRT, get off at Central Station. After getting off, walk starting from Universidad de Manila straight to SM Manila. The Manila City Hall is just right next to SM City Manila.
